A Slate tem um artigo muito interessante sobre questão de se escrever sobre uma falsa identidade. Neste caso, o autor debate os problemas que os escritores se debatem (e os preconceitos que enfrentam) quando fingem ser "índios" ou First Nations (ou Native Americans).
Vale a pena sublinhar esta frase do artigo:
"Hemingway once wrote what he called the shortest story ever written: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." But I can think of one shorter by five words: "Indian." Wrapped up in that one word is a host of associations, images, and ideas, but primary among them is tragedy."
